hm, if you’re right, okay, than i don’t have right information. and i wouldn’t refuse a WC4. i loved the warcraft games. so, we’ll see.

Warcraft started as RTS and believe it or not, but it WILL end as an RTS.WoW will not last forever, there will be 2-3 more expansions until level cap reaches 99 or 100.Blizzard is already making entirely new MMO that has nothing to do whit it’s other franchises and this MMO will replace WoW when the time comes and Warcraft will finally return back to it’s RTS roots,the way I think Warcraft should have always stayed. And the storyline in WC IV will be so much more epic than it ever was in WoW

@Mordred1337 First of all, I played WoW for nearly 2 years between spring 2005-spring 2007…and when I stopped playing, I sold my account, so I that’s why I have even less intrest to start playing WoW again, even if it was free….there are so many other, much better games than WoW out there now and much more coming in this year.
And besides, Rob Pardo and Frank Pierce from Blizzard have already said that Warcraft IV is VERY likely after they have the Starcraft II trilogy is finished.

there is never gonna be a WC4!blizzard will continue the story through WoW.And the story isn’t bad in WoW, the quests are not just like “kill 10 pigs”, i think you played trial version, maybe ’til lvl 10 and then you said, that sucked, wow is bad. In WotlK and lvl 80 you have so much lore about arthas and stuff. so bolvar fordragon the new lich king isnt a “never-heard guy”. he was like the king of stormwind when varian wrynn was kidnapped. so if you want to know how the warcraft story goes on.

So when Warcraft IV finally comes out, it better continue right from where WCIII: The Frozen Throne ended…because for me and so many other Warcraft fans out there, the story has been as frozen as the Lich King ever since 2003, so hopefully Warcraft IV will write the true storyline and lore, be it little modified version of the events of WoW or more radically different. For players like you it would made much sense, but hey it seems you are perfectly happy whit WoW so just continue to play it.

And how can you say that Cataclysm is follow-up to WC3, in the end of Frozen Throne Arthas was NOT dead and its just fucking idiotic to replace him whit some never-heard guy.Arthas/Lich King/Ner’zhul is propably the most important and the best character of Warcraft universe, so killing him off like this is just perfect example how WoW is ruining it all. And Blizzard just cant go and assume that everyone has played WoW, so they can just go on in Warcraft IV where the last WoW expansion ends…

And depravedmalice is exatcly right. WoW is raping the lore, because Blizzard has to twist and bend the lore so that it would be fun for WoW players. In Warcraft IV they wouldnt have to do so, not every major villain would have to die, and the storyline would be x1000 times more epic and better than they can ever create for WoW.

@ DefineDeath090 as if the WoW quests are interesting to read. what i meant by killing the lore is that the story is tweaked to suit every mmo players. so it gets a bit arbitrary. whereas rts, you just get right into it by assuming the role of the warcraft’s major figures

Yes it can, and it will. They intend to go to the level 100 cap, and also WoW: Cataclysm IS the follow-up to WC3. Arthas has died and Bolvar Fordragon takes his place as the Lich King.
Deathwing who went insane during the First War, reappears and becomes the new end-game boss for WoW: Cataclysm.

WoW is building on the lore. Actually in x10 the atmosphere an RTS could.
Maybe if you actually read the quests and pieced it all together in a larger sense, you’d be able to accept WoW’s continuation of the lore.

I always skip the tutorial so I guess that explains it. It’s odd how I don’t remember it though. I’m going to find it.
